Most of our students aren’t old enough to vote, but they have a critical stake in the future of Hawaii—and the strongest first-hand perspective of how education unfolds in the classroom day-to-day.
That’s why HawaiiKidsCAN and KFVE- TV put students in the moderator seats for a 2018 forum of political candidates vying for the governor’s office and United States Congress this year.
You can watch the forum below, which aired July 26 on KFVE-TV.You can also like, view and share the video on Facebook.
“KFVE- TV is proud to be the home for this inspiring candidate forum concept, whereby these articulate and interested keiki, the future leaders of Hawaii, talk directly to candidates for some of the top offices in our state today,” said John Fink, KFVE- TV’s vice president and general manager.
Have you joined the movement for great Hawaii public schools? There’s always a way to get involved! In fact, we can’t expect lasting change in our neighborhood schools, state policies or global economy unless we choose to get involved—however we can, right now.
